The Pool Build Begins

So, the pool construction is officially under way. Laurie hopped onto the Big Mean Orange Machine and started putting rocks in their place. They were very ornery and deserved it- they had it coming.

Day one complete

So that line of rocks will extend further and start to curve around. After the rocks are laid out, we will order clean fill and level the area to prepare for the pool. Long way to go!

  1. Brave Big Orange Machine! Those are heavy rocks! Nice and rounded. Most of ours are ledgy jagged chuncks or very rough.

The rounded edges on the rock make for such a pain in the butt to try to pick up. I have been known to roll a rock the length of the yard trying to get it into the bucket. Eventually I got good at it and just dig a little under it and it falls right in.

The next family reunion will be when the bar is done, including the french doors. So when the pool is in and the french doors are in, we’ll get another re uninon going.

What could be more impressive than a trophy wife who can put rocks in their place while simultaneously watching the kid! You’re a lucky man, Brian!

And she mows the lawn! She likes the exercise. I think she likes to put on the headphones and ignore us for an hour.
