Fourth of July

This year we decided to go camping. Honestly, I liked that decision better than going to the golf course with our VIP parking and seats. Laurie’s company gave a generous donation [ paid for the whole freakin’ show]. We passed  that up to go to my old stomping grounds: Lake Adventure.

Located in northeast Pennsylvania, Lake Adventure is a campground resort. Sort of like permanent camping, everyone owns their own campsite. Some of the trailers are huge, some small, some are Airstreams and should be banned. Kidding, sort of.

Joining us was our friends Joey and Bonnie and their 3 kids- Matthew shy four year old, Kelsey not so shy 6 year old, and Thomas, laid back 9 year old.

We had the best of both worlds-tent camping and a trailer.  This was the first time camping for the kids and if they decided that  tent camping was not for them at say, 2am…we had the trailer. Plus, the trailer had a hot shower and a bathroom.

It was weird being at that campsite. I remember going there when I was 15, now I am back with my own family…it was weiiird. I am glad your mom bought it from my mom, at least the site was kept in the family.
Yeah the tent is huge. I can stand up in it.
