Maddie’s Almost Broken Nose

Madaghan was running on the playground and bumped heads with another child. Laurie picked her up from school and took her to the doctor’s office. The xray was negative, it is not broken. How the hell it is not broken is beyond me, but x rays proove it isn’t. The doctors told us it looks alot worse than it actually is and over the next few days, it is going to drip blood and get alot worse looking.

Maddie has a follow up appointment on Monday, and I will not be shocked if they said “Oh, it is broken after all…” I’ll keep ya posted on what the doctor says after tomorrow’s appointment.

Holy crap. Glad to hear it’s not broken and I hope it heals quickly.

Actually it is broken. The follow up appointment revealed surgery is needed. Dammit.

We know all too well about “near misses” at are house. With 3 boys, we’re fortunate to have required only one head CT so far. Hope her nose stays unbroken, and she doesn’t turn into a raccoon from the bruise.

It’s official, follow up appointment reveals it is broken, surgery on Friday. Ugh.
