Donations Being Accepted (for real this time)Posted: May 5, 2009
May 13, 2009 Madaghan will be particapting in a Hop-A-Thon to benefit Muscular Dystrophy.
In an MDA Hop-a-Thon, kids and parents obtain pledges from family members, friends or neighbors for the number of hops a child can do in two minutes — 150 to 200 for most young kids. After the Hop, the children show proof of their hops and collect the pledges.
Donations raised help MDA send children with neuromuscular diseases to MDA summer camps, assist with buying and repairing wheelchairs and leg braces, fund worldwide research seeking treatments and cures, provide support groups for clients and families, and more
There are two ways to support Madaghan:
1. Flat Donation of any amount.
2. Donate on a per-hop basis.
Last year, Madaghan did 250 hops. Yup 250. One of her sponsors pledged $1 per hop. They wrote a nice $250 check.
Donations are being accepted BEFORE May 18th.
If you are making a flat donation, please make checks payable to Muscular Dystrophy Association and mail it to our house BEFORE May 18th so we can bring your check to Madaghan’s school and hand it to the MDA representative. If you do not know my address leave a comment expressing your interest, and I will email it to you!
Those of you who wish to sponsor Maddie and make a pledge on a per hop basis, just let us know (leave a comment, or send an email, or…<gasp> call!)BEFORE May 18th on what you wish to pledge per hop!
