The black box seen is a refridgerator with the door taken off, it will keep the keg cool. The area on the right will be boxed in and insulated. Next up is the electrician to run the lights and sockets.

Hey Bri, I’ve been thinkin of what you can put by the chalk board wall…what about an airhockey or phooseball table (nice spelling right?!) it might be too big though

Diane, Good idea! Except the chalk board space is being reserved for a Murphy bed. So I need something that can be “wheeled” out of the way when guests stay over. Maybe I could put wheels on the bottom of a phooseball table or air hockey table? Hmm..

    Hey Bri,
where is the bar, is it to the right when you walk in the room? so you would enter the bar by the bathroom door? You may want to rethink where you enter the bar, because you will have to always walk around it to get in/out and could be a pain. unless you want a nice looking bar wall when you walk in and for your guests to sit and drink at. but if it’s just you anytime you want to get something you are always going to have to walk around. hmmm

I wrestlesd with that very problem during planning. My rationalization for putting the bar opening by the bathroom door was the fact no one could sit in front of the bathroom door anyway, so a seat was lost there. So, I made that the opening.

good point though. How many times will you be walking in to get something vs. having so many guests that one has to sit in front of the bathroom door? could say move it, or that seats taken. Ok I beat the dead horse. will look nice from where the Murphy Bed will be. cheers!

I think I will live with the walking around. I did not want the bathroom door to be blocked. Plus, I want the bar right when you walk in. There is no seat right near the entrance because that is where the tap is going. Hopefully next time you come out, you can grab a Hiney at 3 am.

      Hey Dave!

Welcome Aboard! Thanks for commenting… I could use input from a man with your beer experience. I have since decided on buying an under counter Kegerator.
