That is alot of mula!

Yes it is Captain Obvious. Yes it is.

Worse part of the whole ordeal? That money was the two new 26″ Flat screens. Why two you ask? Remember: one TV behind the bar; one TV for the Nintendo Wii. I also had enough money to buy the touch screen for the jukebox. Bummer, was all set to purchase those items, but the Faturn had other ideas. *sigh* Back to square one, start dancing at night to make bar build money. If I can only find that bowtie….

Air Conditoner Saga Update

Ok…here is the latest and greatest: Middltown Tire and Auto was not, I repeat WAS NOT  pulling a scam. Charlie’s tech pulled the AC apart and turns out the fellas at MT&A were right. Kudos to them! Sorry you did not get my business, but Charlie and me go way back. But you are in the running for the next repair on the Saturn.

Boy, am I glad we did not raise a stink and call them out of anger.

You jumped to conclusions!

Shut up.

So as of this post the Saturn is up on the lift getting new AC and new shoes. Probably going to cost over a grand. Awesome.

Just for the record, my 2005 VW has 185,000 miles on it and no major malfunctions have needed repair. Car is still going strong.

LIF and the Air Conditioner

Yesterday on the way home from Long Island, we discovered that the AC was broken. Of course it had to break during the first 90 degree day of the summer. So, sitting on the Cross Bronx expressway in traffic was extra special. Breathing in fresh fumes from the trucks combined with someone’s extra loud radio makes for a fun filled LIF experience. What is LIF you ask?

Capt. Obvious

LIF is not a word!

Yes, I Know that. Thank… You. [sigh]

LIF stands for Long Island Fun. LIF is all encompassing. LIF is the drama involved with packing than unpacking than packing and unpacking again. LIF is sitting on the Cross Bronx expressway in traffic crawling to (or from) the Throgs Neck Bridge. LIF is a new word I’ll be saying / writing alot. It is me bitching about everything Long Island with one simple word: LIF.

Back to the AC-

I am not really sure what is wrong with it, hopefully it just needs to be recharged. Laurie is going to ask some of the mechanics at her job to take a gander at the AC.

In addition to the AC, the Saturn needs four tires. Two fronts are bald and one of the rear tires slowly leaks.

Luckily, across the street from Laurie’s job is a Tire & AC repair shop. Stay tuned.
