Fair Oaks Drive-In

Perhaps this was a sign of a good movie to come? Or perhaps it is just an optical and meteorological phenomenon that causes a spectrum of light to appear in the sky when the Sun shines onto droplets of moisture in the Earth’s atmosphere. Whatever the case may be, it was pretty cool.
We made the left into the drive in and snapped a quick picture of the ticket booth:
We paid the nice lady 14 bucks, 7 for me 7 for Laurie and Maddie was free.
Than we found our spot.:

We are the car in the middle...I swear the two guys on either side of us, could have been related to me.
After I parked the car and got us all settled in, we saw the rainbow again: This is the another screen, it was in fron of our car and it was playing Star Trek. Perhaps that is the reason for the rainbow?
This is what we saw sitting in the back of our car notice no rainbow. (God does not like Disney?):

WOW drive-ins still exist?!? Thats kewl. How do they work now, do you still tune you radio to a certain station or do they have speakers out and about? And at 7 bucks a pop you can’t beat it.
How was the movie?
The Fair Oaks drive -in use two different FM radio frequencies one for each screen. It is nice because you don’t have those poles, plus the movie is in surround sound coming out of your car’s speakers. Some people go all-out and have booming systems which only makes it better. You can hear the movie while outside your car! The movie UP! was pretty good. Different, but good. Maddie liked it which was all that matters.
That’s awesome, how many movies they have playing at a time? I am assuming you can only really have like 4 show times huh?
Exactamundo! Two screens each with two showtimes. one at 8:45, the other around 10:30 or depending on the length of the 8:45 movie. Next time you guys are at the trailer, you should come and see a movie!
Yeah, I’d would like to. Never been to a drive-in movie.
You’re right, those 2 guys could have been related, the one to the left of you for sure. I want to go to the drive-in the next time we come up,weather permitting.
ok!
